Hue cuisine received a rating of 4.56 out of 5 points from both experts and diners worldwide.
With this score, Hue cuisine was honored to be ranked 28th in the list of Best Food Cities in the World, recently announced by the world-famous Taste Atlas website specializing in cuisine. Furthermore, Ho Chi Minh City was also honored with a rank of 73 on this list.
Hue, along with famous dishes that are frequently mentioned, such as Beef Noodle Soup, Tapioca Cake, Mussel Rice, Hue Pancake, Grilled Ground Pork on Lemongrass Skewers, Grilled Pork and Rice Vermicelli, sour shrimp, etc., have been scored 4.56/5 points by experts and diners.
At the same time, Ho Chi Minh, with a score of 4.40/5 points and mentioned dishes such as Vietnamese Fried Spring Rolls, Sweet Soup, Pho, Banh Mi, and Vietnamese Beef Stew, ranked 73rd in the same list.
Taste Atlas unveiled its Top 100 list, determined through the votes of nearly 400,000 global experts and diners that come from over 16,000 cities worldwide. The rankings were established considering many factors, such as popularity, local specialties, and reputation.
Taste Atlas was established in 2025 and has connected with 9,000 local restaurants, introducing over 10,000 dishes to readers, along with thousands of reviews and research from culinary experts and chefs. The website aims to become a global map of traditional dishes made from local ingredients, with categories such as Best Food Cities in the World. Additionally, Taste Atlas also ranks other categories such as Best Food Regions in the World, 100 Best Dishes in the World, and more.
More specifically, Banh Mi and Pho are listed 14th and 100th, respectively, on the list of the top 100 best dishes in the world. Vietnam cuisine captured a stand of its own at 22nd among the 100 Best Cuisines in the World.
